FOUNDER- DESIGNER

My, (b. 1978), is a Hanoi-based engineer, a Pottery lover, a nature lover, a small shop owner and a mother of a be-loved child.

Graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, after more than 20 years of being management and consultation for global companies on quality and social responsibility; traveled to places and absorb the beauty of worldwide livings.

Since 2020, with the desire to bring history into present and send to the future, My sketched the first Pottery inspired from nature, culture and people around her and, gradually, My felt the wonderful connections between Pottery and things around.

In 2024, Mys’ ideas with Pottery came true after projects with young Swedish designers and young National artisan Nguyen Van Dai in Bat Trang, an ancient pottery village in the north of Vietnam. My established “MT pottery & cozy home” to bring the fascinating and beautiful features from local materials and local people to the world.

With the perspective of family education, My wants to accompany families through safe, sustainable and sophisticated Pottery products, suitable for contemporary homes, so that the beauty of labor and culture, history is reflected in daily thinkings and acts of children.

MT stands for My and Tomorrow, My and Transparence, My and Trust.

MT logo is a lotus branch hugging a clay-stained turntable means MT products are placed at the center of the consistent ideology implied future in the lotus bowl is nurturing its seeds.

Just starting out, much to learn and do, but MT has and will have premium quality products sent to cozy homes.

Our vision

Hanoi and the northern provinces of Vietnam are famous for handicraft villages. Traditionally, these are families where handicraft production goes hand in hand with agriculture and small trades.

The sophisticated artisans are perhaps influenced by of Confucianism over a long period of time makes them try their best to preserve the achievements of their ancestors and cherish them. Meanwhile, each handicraft product in contemporary life, when reaching customers, needs to have its own story and go through many more complex stages.

MT Pottery is connecting the necessary pieces for the development of Vietnamese handicrafts; we are hands in hands with young designers, teachers, artisans, quality managers, to deliver beautiful products in terms of meaning, quality and quantity to cozy homes across Vietnam and the world. With this effort, the income and life of artisans and collaborators with MT Poterry will also improve.

Moreover, MT Poterry also strives for a sustainable development of society through commitments such as FMEA – Failure Mode and Effect Analysing, DFM-Design For Manufacturing to reduce defect rates, increase material efficiency; reduce and reuse packaging.
